ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION:

MVF lays emphasis on educating and creating awareness on environment issues. Awareness activities were conducted in schools and campaigns were organized to sensitise the youth in the villages. MVF has facilitated the formation of committees for drinking water and regular monitoring in schools. Other activities organised were public meetings, petitions against sand quarrying, meetings about village cleanliness, clean drinking water and data collection of environmental issues. M.V.Foundation staff visit the schools and hold informal meetings with the teachers and students.

Achievements:

• In 88 villages 6,84,447 saplings/seedlings were planted.
• Exhibitions, rallies & campaigns conducted.
• Bio fuel plantations – 50 villages, 3,90,000 saplings.
